About Patrick Balls – Professional Photographer
I’m Patrick Balls, a professional photographer with over 20 years’ experience working across commercial, corporate, editorial, music, events, property and hospitality photography.
My career began at Wimbledon College of Art, where I studied Fine Art before discovering that photography gave me a more direct and powerful way to communicate ideas. After graduating, I began working alongside established photographers, developing my skills in studio lighting, medium format photography and professional post-production.
Over the years I've worked with businesses, organisations, artists, publications and brands of all sizes, from corporate headshots and conferences to commercial campaigns, music photography, property and hospitality projects.
20+ Years of Photography Experience
Photography has taken me into a huge variety of environments, from recording studios and concert venues to corporate offices, restaurants, hotels, properties and major events.
I've photographed internationally recognised musicians, corporate teams, conferences, brands, restaurants and properties, as well as working on editorial and PR assignments.
I'm equally comfortable working to a detailed commercial brief or responding creatively to the people, environment and circumstances in front of the camera. My approach is professional and relaxed, with the aim of creating images that feel natural while delivering exactly what the client needs.
A Versatile Commercial Photographer
My work covers a broad range of photography, including professional headshots and corporate portraits, conferences and events, property, food and drink, music, studio and eCommerce photography, and press and editorial assignments.
I also provide 360° virtual tours and floor plans for property marketing, and I travel throughout the UK and Europe for larger events, commercial assignments and specialist projects.
Photography & Post-Production
My experience extends beyond taking the photograph. I have extensive post-production experience including colour grading, retouching, image manipulation, compositing and preparing images for both print and digital use.
Having worked through the transition from film to digital photography, I've developed a strong understanding of the entire process, from planning and lighting a shoot through to editing, retouching and final delivery.
Working Across London, Kent, Sussex & Beyond
I'm based in the South East and regularly work across Kent, Sussex and London, including Tunbridge Wells, Sevenoaks, Maidstone, Tonbridge, Brighton and surrounding areas.
I also travel throughout the UK and Europe for conferences, corporate events, commercial assignments, music photography and larger projects.
Whether I'm working in a studio, office, restaurant, event venue or on location, I bring the same professional and flexible approach to every assignment.
